How it all started...

Hi Friends! Thanks for stopping by. My name is Kassadi and I am the owner and creator here at Twisted K Soap Co. in Grandview, TX. I am extremely blessed to be happily married to my best friend, Grant. We are the parents of 2 toddlers who keep us on our toes! We have already been so overwhelmed with the support everyone has shown our family since we started Twisted K and I am so excited to be able to share our products with you!

The most common question everyone wants to know is how and why I started making my own soaps. So, here it goes! Ever since I was a kid I have always been sensitive to most soaps you can buy in the stores. However, I didn't really know any other options for soap other than what you can buy at Wal-Mart. So, I usually just bought whatever they had to offer that was labeled to be good for "sensitive skin" which, by the way, almost none of them were!! I pretty much had just accepted the fact that my skin was weird with soaps, and unless I wanted to just never wash my body (EWWW), I was just going to have to get used to having itchy legs and waking up with bright red scratch marks all over my body from where I had been itching in my sleep all night. It was to a point where I never even thought about it anymore, I was just so used to that being my situation. I quit wasting my money on products that did nothing for my skin and started buying normal, everyday soap.

One day I came across a blogger (I sooo wish I could remember her name so I could give her credit) who was talking about goat milk soap and the benefits it had for your skin. I was mainly intrigued enough by the fact that she was saying "goat milk" and "soap" in the same sentence and calling it  this amaaaazzzzinggggg product. In my head I kept telling myself, "surely it isn't REALLYYYY goats milk" (which by the absolutely is). After reading that blog post I began doing research into this product and found tons of people all over the internet raving about how goat milk soap has helped keep their eczema under control, drastically reduce the symptoms if psoriasis, fade stretch marks and scars, reduce inflammation and soooo much more. Still, at this point I was pretty skeptical. After all, I had tried every soap Wal Mart had to offer. (LOL at all the soaps with harsh chemicals and detergents that were labeled "good for sensitive skin" that of course were making my skin react in a negative way.) But, I decided to try it out anyway, because these peoples reviews were very convincing. Turns out for good reason. I found a local boutique who offered a goats milk product line and purchased a few products to try. This was not a cheap purchase and muchhhh more than I was used to paying for soap. But I decided to do it anyways and try it out. I became a believer of the products on night ONE when I woke up with ZERO claw marks up and down my legs. I had gone an entire night, for the first time in who knowssss how long, not scratching my legs to death in my sleep. After several weeks of using the products I knew I couldn't go back. The changes my skin had made in such a short time was undeniable.

It didn't take long before I was really tired of paying such high prices for these products and I began looking into the process of making it myself. I started making a batch of soap every few months just for my family's use. We all loved the product and surprisingly enjoyed the act of making the soaps much more than we expected. I always tossed around the idea of offering these soaps to other people and finally, in January 2021 we decided to take the leap and do it. We really wanted other people to be able to enjoy and benefit from these products without having to pay an arm and a leg. My goal for Twisted K is to always offer fun and unique, handcrafted soaps, while still keeping them affordable. I truly hope that you enjoy these soaps as much as we do and that you will see the benefits of using natural soaps on your skin.
